What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Coordinator position at Carahsoft?
Supports Carahsoft’s vendor partners and government customers in areas of marketing. Incorporates marketing strategy through e-marketing, event planning, webcasts, and collateral development to support vendor partners and government customers. Executes tactical and creative marketing projects utilizing a variety of skills and mediums. Effectively supports and coordinates work to internal support teams (Tradeshow, Marketing Enablement, Digital Media, Social Media, Graphic Design, etc.) by following required forms and processes established by each team. Implements best practices and communicates critical updates to ensure seamless marketing process.
This role is based out of our office in Reston, VA.
Overall Responsibilities
- Thoroughly acquaints oneself with marketing platforms and programs.
- Understands basic concepts of your primary vendor’s technology to better support marketing strategy of products to target audience. Builds understanding in government DoD/Civ/SLG/EDU industry terminology, and Carahsoft’s industry, markets, contracts, and vendor partners.
- Produces marketing plans in conjunction with management team and actively participates in meetings.
- Creates and coordinates onsite and online events, communications, advertising and collateral.
- Plans and executes email campaigns from start to finish. Coordinates with vendor and Sales team, utilizes email content templates, writes compelling content, and requests sales and marketing lists.
- Pulls post-email metrics and email campaign reports as needed.
- Executes informational webcasts including coordination and project management with speakers and vendors. Completes promotions across social/Amplify, GovEvents, website, call blitzes, emails, etc.
- Effectively distributes content and liaises with Sales teams for post-event lead follow-up and reporting.
- Develops and maintains a strong relationship with clients to maximize the ROI of dual marketing projects.
- Communicates regularly with the vendor marketing and sales team and leadership to relay insights, updates, and recommendations for operational enhancements.
- Maintains strong knowledge of Carahsell programs and processes, such as creating Carahevents, purchase requests, invoices, and reporting.

Salary : $40,000 - $50,000
