Supervisory Responsibilities
May supervise and train veterinary students and other team members as directed by hospital leaders
LVT (Licensed Veterinary Technicians) Tier 4: Demonstrated proficiency in all Tier I, II, III skills/activities and the following:
Intraperitoneal injections (injections into the body cavity) (direct DVM supervision)
Demonstrate the desire to perform and learn additional tasks that could lend itself to being upgraded to technician manager should the position become available
Show leadership qualities towards technicians, assistants, and kennel staff
Support each team member to help achieve overall excellence and quality medical care
Demonstrate complete competence in all areas of medical administration and service
Demonstrate initiative by identifying, performing, and completing all tasks on time
Routinely identify new procedures or tasks to help the operation of the clinic to provide high quality medicine
Train new veterinary assistants and technicians. Track progress with forms provided and provide feedback to managing DVM regarding progress and skill level.
