Job Title: Parts Counter Salesperson

Reports to: Parts Manager

Job Description

The Parts Counter Salesperson is responsible for assisting customers in finding the appropriate part for

their vehicle while providing the utmost customer service.

• Read catalogs or computer in order to determine replacement part stock numbers and prices.
• Receive and fill telephone orders for parts.
• Fill customer orders from stock or order.
• Fill service departments order from stock or order.
• Prepare sales slips or sales contracts.
• Receive payment or obtain credit authorization.
• Issue spare and replacement parts, equipment and expandable items used in maintenance shop.
• Take inventory of parts and equipment and maintain inventory records.
• May drive to pick up incoming stock or pick up and deliver parts to units in other building or
  
  

locations.

• Sell auto parts and aftermarket items to customers.
• Treat members of the public in a courteous and non-discriminatory manner.
• Work in cooperative and professional manner with all personnel and conform to the company’s
  
  

policy and non-discrimination and harassment.

• Maintain a professional demeanor when on the job.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

• Demonstrating new or used vehicles to potential customers.
• New and used car repositioning on sales lots as required for display.

Hazards: Noise and vibration (normal): Electrical air tools, machinery and various repair and diagnostic equipment and automobile engines.
