Automotive Dealership Parts and Service Director
This dealership in the Spokane/Coeur d’Alene/Tri-Cities area of Eastern Washington is in need of a well-qualified parts and service director to join their operation. This is a very well-run facility with great ownership and very little turnover.
Key Responsibilities and Duties include forecasting goals, managing budgets, hiring/training staff, ensuring compliance with manufacturer warranties, and maintaining high CSI scores. Areas of concern include:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement annual operating budgets, marketing plans, and performance goals for both departments.
- Operational Management: Optimize workflow for service technicians and manage inventory levels to ensure parts availability for service, repair, and wholesale.
- Financial Performance: Monitor departmental key performance Indicators such as gross profit, average repair order (ARO), and inventory turnover.
- Personnel Management: Hire, train, and motivate service advisors, technicians, and parts staff, promoting professional development.
- Customer Relations: Handle customer complaints and maintain high standards of service to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven success as a Parts and Service Director, Fixed Operations Director, or Service Manager in an automotive dealership environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive repair, service operations, and inventory management.
- Systems Proficiency: Experience with DMS like CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or Dealertrack.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to mentor employees, delegate tasks, and drive profitability.
Pay Range: $125k to $190k/year DOE
