We’re a successful fast growing company based in Louisville, Kentucky. We’re growing rapidly, undergoing a national expansion. In the past five years, we’ve grown from 60 employees to over 400. We’ve averaged 50% revenue growth each year over the past 8 years. We’re looking for an experienced Upfitting Technician to help play an important part in our growth.
Purpose:
To actively participate in new and reconditioned van upfitting.
Summary:
Upfitting Technicians are responsible for the upfitting and custom fabrication of our company's fleet. Upfitting Technicians install custom shelving, work tables, aftermarket lights, back up alarms and a DC to AC inverter. Additionally, Upfitting Technician update required documents, completing van upfits within the timeline requested by their Supervisor.

Duties Critical to Success:
- Fabricates and installs custom shelving.
- Installs multiple aftermarket lighting fixtures.
- Mounts and wires electrical power inverter.
- Builds custom work table/desk and secures it accordingly.
- Mount and wire cameras and back up sensor/alarm.
- Installs security safe.
- Keeps work area in order and materials in full supply.
- Execute ad hoc business requests as needed.
- Fills out daily log.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and properly.
- Can add, divide, multiply, and subtract fractions.
- Able to use a computer and computer programs.
- Physically able to perform job duties.
- Ability to work as a team and independently.
- Problem solving.
- Understanding of mechanics.
- Complete daily build progress sheet.
- Update van departure schedule.
- Must meet deadlines and quotas proficiently.
- Identifies and resolves problems quickly and effectively.
- Stays in contact with Operations and Project Management to prioritize projects.
- Provides the highest quality of work on a daily basis.
- Immediate Supervisor: Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor
- Direct Reports: None
- Low voltage electrical experience and light metal fabrication.
- Problem solving skills.
- Can identify and resolve issues without supervision.
- Must be able to work quickly and still provide a high quality finish to each project.
- Innovative and has the ability to visualize and carry out assigned tasks.
- Stay ahead of the game. Assess the current situation/goal and have the initiative to move on to the next step without always needing guidance.
- Carpentry, masonry, high voltage electric, plumbing, demolition, drywall, framing, flooring, HVAC, roofing, general equipment maintenance, forklift operation and landscaping.
