What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Mechanic 1st Shift position at CAR-FRESHNER Corporation?
Making the famous LITTLE TREES air fresheners here in the USA since 1952.
Hours: 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday - Thursday. Overtime may be required based on demand.
Salary: $22.25 per hour, increasing to $23.75 within 6 months.
Summary:
The Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, adjusting, and repairing manufacturing machinery. Regular and predictable attendance is required.
- Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance
- Set up and activate specialized production machinery
- Performs spot weld
- Assembles, installs, and dismantles machinery
- Maintains hand tools in working conditions
- Uses powered pallet jack
- Follows all safety procedures and reports any issues to supervisor
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year experience in a production setting
- Basic math skills
- Lift up to 40 pounds
- Stand for long periods of time and climb stairs, bend, lift and push
- Hand eye coordination
- Use of both hands and fingers
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to operate pallet jack.
