What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector position at CAR Engineering & Mfg?
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented quality inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to help run the day to day operations of a busy quality lab.

- Ability to read part prints, work instructions, and quality documentation
- Basic understanding of GD&T
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify defects and/or inconsistencies
- Experience with hand tools (caliper/micrometer/etc.) and optical vision systems (comparator/smartscope/etc.)
- Ability to perform accurate dimensional measurements
- Basic math skills proficiency
- Experience with Microsoft office
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely fashion
- MINIMUM associates degree in applicable field (quality/manufacturing/engineering technology) OR 1-3 years quality/manufacturing experience.
- Familiarity with CMM operating favorable but not required
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Must have good part print reading skills
Able to work independently and have good communication skills
Must have the ability to walk & stand frequently
Must have ability to lift 60lbs when needed

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
