What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping / Receiving and Inventory (Automotive Industry) Specialist position at Car Cosmotology Inc.?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory/Shipping/Receiving Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our Company, ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed and distributed accurately and in a timely manner. This position is also responsible for keeping the inventory up-to-date and accurate. This is an automotive industry, experience in the automotive parts and inventory is a must for candidates applying for the position.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Order parts/supplies, process and inspect incoming/outgoing shipments, verify packing slips against purchase orders, and manage stock replenishment. This includes processing orders with vendors. Prepare outgoing shipment by packaging products securely and labeling correctly.
- Stock Monitoring: Track inventory flow in/out of storage, ensuring optimal levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Inventory Distribution: A large part of incoming inventory is distributed to in-house technicians working on Company jobs/projects. An important responsibility of this position is to stay current on all Company jobs/projects ensuring the technicians receive all the parts required for each job/project. This is accomplished by following the Company policies, forms and computer reports.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory using Quickbooks. This includes maintaining accurate records and entry of inventory and invoices using QuickBooks, Excel spreadsheets and Company forms.
- Audits & Reconciliations: Perform regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies of records with the accounting department.
- Product Control: Manage stock rotation, identify damaged goods, and process vendor returns. Collaborate closely with Company Installation Technicians to ensure proper recording and delivering of correct parts for installation on each job project.
- Supplier Relations: Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers regarding orders and returns.
- Support: Assist sales/service departments with inventory queries and maintain organized inventory areas. This position will assist management with purchase orders and communicating with vendors.
- Organization & Accuracy: Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain precise records.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Skills: Operate forklift, pallet jacks and order pickers to move products within the warehouse and on/off vehicles.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze inventory data, identify discrepancies, and make improvements. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Basic math skills for accurate inventory management.
- Licenses: Must have valid driver’s license. This position is responsible for the delivery of parts, picking up items and transporting vehicles.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
