Overview
We are seeking a motivated Finish Blade Operator to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating finish blades to perform precise grading and leveling tasks on construction sites. Your expertise will help shape the landscape for infrastructure projects, ensuring smooth and accurate results while adhering to safety standards. Responsibilities
- Operate finish blades and other heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, and backhoes to perform fine grading and site leveling
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on construction machinery, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to equipment safety procedures
- Follow federal construction safety regulations and safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation at all times
- Assist with excavation, construction grading, utility locating, and utility work as needed to support project requirements
- Collaborate with team members to execute construction site plans efficiently while maintaining a safe work environment
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and site inspections
- Support other construction utility work tasks including loader operation and backhoe operation as required
Experience
- Proven experience operating finish blades or similar heavy construction machinery in a construction setting
- Strong knowledge of construction machinery maintenance and safety procedures
- Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures
- Hands-on experience with excavation, grading, utility locating, and utility work on construction sites
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment such as Caterpillar machinery is highly desirable
- Valid commercial truck driving license with experience in commercial driving preferred
- Construction site experience with emphasis on heavy equipment operation including loaders, excavators, backhoes, and grading equipment
