Available Job Opportunity: EOR Production & Operations Engineer
Full-time role in Allen, TX with some travel required.
CapturePoint is seeking an Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) Production & Operations Engineer for our East Region to oversee well work operations and daily field operations, as well as assist in long-term planning for capital projects. The ideal candidate will be highly capable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with experience in CO2-EOR and/or mature waterflood management. As part of CapturePoint’s EOR Asset Team, this position will collaborate on a multidisciplinary team, work independently on assigned tasks, effectively communicate their work to the team, and provide constructive feedback. The job will be based in-person in our Allen, Texas corporate headquarters office and some limited travel will be required. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for operations staff, managing daily activities that include rig scheduling, workover and P&A rig operations, and new development projects
- Lead and participate in CapturePoint’s efforts to promote Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance throughout our workplans and workflows
- Prepare and manage well work activities including sucker rod, downhole pump, and ESP repairs, remedial services such as cleanouts, cement squeezes, stimulations, coiled tubing operations, wireline/slickline operations, etc., and artificial lift optimization projects
- Diagnose root cause of subsurface failures, derive options for corrections, evaluate economics, execute corrective plans optimally, and perform lookbacks to improve systematic and reoccurring failure responses
- Monitor production/injection/disposal well performance and conduct reservoir surveillance to develop action plans to maximize the value of the assets
- Implement and manage multi-step projects, reporting results to management
- Train and work with engineering techs to improve efficiency and effectiveness in all workflows, processes, and use of data analytics
- Maintain corporate processes by preparing, updating, and tracking capital, lease operating expense (LOE), and production budgets and forecasts for all areas of responsibility

Qualifications:
- 5-25 years oil and gas experience in production and/or operations engineering
- Strong preference for experience in CO2-EOR and mature waterflood management
- Proven track record of driving improvements and profitability into the business
- Experience with Wellview, AFE Navigator, Spotfire, ARIES, Petra, Nodal analysis and the full suite of Microsoft Office tools preferred
- Bachelor of Engineering required (Petroleum Engineering preferred)
- English language proficiency required
- Must have valid, current documentation to work in the United States (required: proof of US citizenship, permanent residency, or relevant, valid, unexpired work visa or permit from an authorized US agency)
- Availability for some limited travel, as needed
