Our Leesville location is located directly on the water, giving technicians a unique and convenient environment for water testing, diagnostics, and delivering top-tier service.
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Marine Technician to join our Leesville team and help continue our long-standing tradition of quality and reliability.
Job Overview:
The Marine Technician will perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of recreational boats. This role includes working on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, performing routine service, and lake-testing boats right from our on-site waterfront.
A successful candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a passion for helping customers enjoy trouble-free days on the water.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose issues with engines, electrical components, and boat systems
Perform routine maintenance on outboard, inboard, and sterndrive engines
Water-test boats directly from our on-the-water location for performance checks
Install and troubleshoot marine electronics and accessories
Maintain detailed service records and documentation
Communicate repair needs and recommendations to customers and service advisors
Ensure all repairs meet company, safety, and manufacturer standards
Stay current with industry advancements and manufacturer training
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Marine technology certification or related mechanical training preferred
2 years of experience as a marine technician or similar mechanical role
Strong understanding of marine engines and electrical systems
Ability to use diagnostic tools and troubleshoot efficiently
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and customer-service abilities
Valid driver’s license
Ability to lift heavy equipment and work both indoors and outdoors
Preferred Skills:
Experience with modern marine electronics (GPS, sonar, radar, etc.)
Familiarity with diagnostic software and manufacturer-specific tools
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced service environment
