Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly attitude, managing their seating preferences and reservations efficiently
- Manage restaurant reservation systems to optimize table turnover and guest flow
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing accurate information and taking reservations or requests as needed
- Maintain organized restaurant table management systems to ensure smooth seating arrangements and waitlist updates
- Assist guests with seating, answer questions about menu items, and provide exceptional guest relations throughout their visit
- Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction
- Uphold food safety standards by adhering to hygiene protocols and supporting a clean dining environment
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and customer service abilities
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software and POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and billing support
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tables and guest requests efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards
- Ability to remain energetic, positive, and professional in a fast-paced environment
