Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Leader to oversee daily operations within our fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food preparation, and excellent customer service abilities. This role involves supervising staff, managing food safety standards, and ensuring smooth shift transitions to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Prior experience in restaurant management, hospitality, or food industry settings is essential to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise team members during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient food preparation and service.
- Oversee food safety practices, sanitation, and proper handling of ingredients in compliance with health regulations.
- Manage inventory control, including stock levels and minimizing waste.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS for order processing and cash handling.
- Ensure timely food production and delivery in a Drive-thru settings.
- Train new staff members on food preparation techniques, customer service standards, and safety protocols.
- Monitor staff performance, provide coaching, and support team development through ongoing training & development initiatives.
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Extensive background in food preparation, kitchen management, or culinary roles.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is preferred.
- Experience in managing inventory control, food safety standards, and food handling procedures.
- Previous roles in casual dining, fine dining, catering, or hotel food service are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in team management, training & development, and shift management.
