Host and Food Runner

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front of House Team Member to join our team of pirates! As a Host, you will be responsible for managing transactions, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the overall operations of our front-of-house area in a fast-paced environment. As a Food Runner, you will be responsible for managing orders coming out of the kitchen, maintaining cleanliness and also support the overall operations of the restaurant. Base hourly $17 Tips

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system (hosts do take out orders and retail sales)
• Process payments through cash register and handle cash transactions with precision.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area, including tables and service counters.
• Assist in food handling and preparation, adhering to food safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Provide support in managing retail inventory levels and assist with retail math calculations when necessary.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.

Captain Jack's Island Grill relocated to the Sands of Kahana Resort in January 2025. Formerly located next to our sister restaurant Cool Cat Cafe on Front Street, we have been well established on Maui for 15 years now. Now serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, we have remained busy consistently and anticipate a great summer!

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $30.00 per hour
