What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Technician position at Captain Co-Pack?
Job Title: Production Technician
Department: Production
Reporting to: Production/Kitchen Manager
Status: Hourly, Weekends
This position will require the candidate to act in a supporting role for the Production/Kitchen Manager in the completion of customer sample requests, purchase orders, and daily production duties as needed.
Main Functions including but not limited to:
1) Prepare samples following instructions provided by the Production/Kitchen Manager
3) Follow Approved SOPs to prepare Customer orders and/or samples.
4) Prepare all paperwork regarding testing, inventory, projects, and sample retentions
5) Maintain cleanliness of Production, Kitchen, and Shipping/Receiving areas
6) Maintains company equipment
7) Maintains proper storage of ingredients per the manufacturer’s recommendation.
8) Follows proper storage procedures for all materials used in the Production and Kitchen areas
9) Provide clear and concise project updates to other departments as needed. Communicates regularly with Management to ensure work is completed correctly and efficiently
10) Support and maintain a numerical inventory tracking system for all items used in production and Kitchen to include ingredients, packaging, and equipment

Experience:
At least two years of experience in a production, manufacturing, or kitchen setting is required for this position. Previous experience in Hemp and Cannabis Production is a plus, but not necessary.

1) Must possess good Mathematical skills
2) Must be able to communicate in a professional manner with all internal and external departments and customers
3) Must be able to work effectively with little supervision
4) Must be able to manage time effectively
5) Ability to work with other departments in a productive manner
6) Must be able to take direction and be open to work in a learning environment
7) Must adhere to all GMP and GLP, including the use of necessary PPE
8) Must have reliable transportation and be punctual at all times
This position is one that will require a candidate who is willing and able to learn and grow within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess an ability and an eagerness to learn new skills that will contribute to the betterment of the organization as well as the Hemp and Cannabis Industry.
