Responsibilities
- Work as the lead technician for auto glass installation, repair, and replacement projects with precision and attention to detail
- Oversee the safe handling of heavy glass components using hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment
- Ensure proper calibration and servicing of ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) during windshield replacements
- Coordinate with team members on the use of specialized tools such as glass assembly kits and scheduling
- Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and detailing post-service to ensure customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven experience in auto glass repair and replacement, including windshields, side windows, and rear glass across a wide range of vehicle makes and models
- Strong knowledge of auto glass systems, adhesives, and installation techniques, along with best practices for long-term durability and safety
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and glass handling equipment, with the ability to safely lift and maneuver heavy materials in a fast-paced work environment
- Solid understanding of ADAS calibration processes, including proper procedures for recalibrating safety systems after windshield replacement to maintain vehicle functionality and compliance
- Ability to identify damage severity and recommend appropriate repair or replacement solutions based on industry standards
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship, ensuring every installation meets safety regulations and company standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to different vehicle types, unexpected challenges, and evolving repair techniques
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, with the ability to safely operate company vehicles and travel to customer locations for mobile service appointments
- Ability to accurately record daily job activity, service details, and customer interactions in company software or database systems
