Job Title: Drywaller

Job Overview: The Drywaller is responsible for installing drywall panels to construct interior walls and ceilings. This includes measuring, cutting, installing, and finishing drywall materials to create smooth surfaces for painting or further finishing. A drywaller ensures that drywall is securely attached to framing and other structural components of the building. This is an onsite position, Monday- Friday and the hours are 6 AM- 2:30 PM

Primary Responsibilities:

• Install Drywall: Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to walls, ceilings, or partitions.
• Attach Drywall: Secure drywall panels to wood or metal framing using screws, nails, or adhesive.
• Cut and Fit Drywall: Cut drywall to fit around doors, windows, outlets, and other openings.
• Joint Finishing: Apply joint compound (mud) to seams and nail/screw heads to create a smooth surface.
• Taping and Sanding: Apply drywall tape over seams, then sand and smooth compound to eliminate imperfections.
• Repairs: Repair damaged drywall, including patching holes and cracks.
  
  

Secondary Responsibilities:

When the need for drywalling is down, other duties will

be assigned such as;

• Frame walls and ceilings using appropriate construction materials, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with codes.
• Painting interior walls, doors, cabinets.
• Aluminum powder coat and stainless-steel food service assembly.
• Hand tool use for assembling metal stud, trim, interior and exterior finishes and cabinetry.
• Assist with inventory, receiving and shipping including palletizing, stacking, wrapping and moving material around the facility.
• Available for installations when the rare need arises. 1-5 days over night.
• Perform quality control checks on parts and materials entering or leaving the manufacturing facility.
• Safety: Follow safety procedures and wear proper protective gear to avoid injury from tools and materials.
• Clean-up: Maintain a clean and organized work area, disposing of waste materials properly.
  
  

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: Prior experience in drywall installation or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge: Understanding of building codes, materials, and techniques for drywall installation.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials, work in awkward positions, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in cutting, fitting, and finishing drywall to ensure quality results.
• Tools Proficiency: Ability to use tools like utility knives, drills, sanding machines, and drywall lifts.
• Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with other construction workers, such as carpenters and painters.
• Standing, bending and lifting50lbs of equipment at a time.
• Positive attitude, reliability and willingness to work in a team environment as part of a growing company.
• Clean driving record for 15% of travel a year for installations or service calls.
  
  

Compensation: based on experience $22-$35
