A globally prominent, reputable and rapidly growing industrial manufacturing organization is seeking to hire a senior-level Site Information Technology (IT) Director to lead IT activities and personnel for a multi-plant manufacturing campus in the greater Birmingham, AL area. Reporting to the Vice President and General Manager, this individual will serve on the senior leadership team. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead tactical and strategic direction for IT department ensuring proper support to all site functions.
- Hire, mentor, and develop IT personnel for multiple manufacturing locations.
- Ensure issues with network, hardware, and software are addressed quickly.
- Manage departmental budget.
- Seek out and capitalize on opportunities to improve technologies, systems, and processes.
- Work directly with multiple departmental leaders to ensure IT systems and processes support and align with business objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 8 years of IT experience within manufacturing setting(s).
- 4 years of formalized IT management experience.
- Extensive familiarity with mainstream ERP systems (SAP, QAD, etc.)
- Willingness and ability to travel regionally 10-20%.
