Quality Engineer

An industry leading aerospace manufacturing supplier is actively seeking a Quality Engineer to support the Quality Department in planning, coordinating, and executing quality control activities to meet company and customer quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain 3rd party accreditations (NADCAP/AS9100 Rev D) by working with Quality and Operations teams on process documentation, updates, and audit preparation and participation.
• Interpret customer drawings, specifications, and contract requirements to develop and implement quality plans and inspections.
• Conduct part-specific quality planning of PO/NPI according to customer and company requirements.
• Evaluate customer quality complaints, determine corrective actions, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Review in-process rejections, obtain disposition, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Interface with customers, vendors, and company departments to resolve quality problems and provide information.
• Determine root cause and corrective action for internal non-conformances with the Operations department.
• Submit non-conformances to customers and negotiate dispositions.
• Minimize rework and escapes by proactively engaging with the Operations department.
• Assist in internal and external audits.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
• Prior experience using Root Cause Analysis, Problem Solving Tools & Techniques, and Corrective Actions.
• Experience with AS 9100 standards.
