Capstone Security is currently hiring a full-time security officer to work overnight shifts.

Friday & Saturday: 10:30pm- 6:30pm

Sunday & Monday 10:00pm - 6:00am

This is a union site. Professional demeanor

Pay Rate starts at $21.75

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to security, with responsibilities that include monitoring premises, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Incident Management: Oversee and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Prepare detailed reports for management review.
• Customer Service: Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their security needs and concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, providing first aid or CPR as necessary.
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential security risks.
• Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions.
• Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing conflict officer skills to de-escalate situations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary for investigations or emergencies.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or fraud attempts.

Qualifications

• Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
• Strong conflict officer skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must possess a valid security officer license or certification where applicable.
• A commitment to upholding safety standards and protocols.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 years of officer experience in a security operations role, preferably in an security environment. Preferred Law Enforcement but is not required.
• Certification: Must hold a valid BSIS Guard Card, First Aid & CPR Certification (Preferred)
• License: Must possess valid CA Driver’s License and clean driving record. Must have reliable transportation.
• Customer Service Skills: Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Attention to Detail: High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing for extended periods and responding to emergencies.
• Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
