Description
The Leasing Consultant plays a vital role in the community's success by interfacing with prospective residents, handling day-to-day issues with current residents, and coordinating lease renewals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional service to all residents, prospects, and visitors.
- Effectively lease apartments within budget guidelines.
- Familiarize yourself with Fair Housing Standards and apply them in all interactions.
- Participate in outside marketing activities under the guidance of the Assistant Manager and Community Manager.
- Oversee application reviews, including credit and income verifications, and background checks.
- Prepare and maintain accurate lease packets and files for each resident.
- Ensure leased apartments are inspected before move-in and follow up with residents throughout their lease term.
Requirements
To excel in this position, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Three to six months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desirable Skills and Qualities:
- Professional demeanor and enthusiasm resulting from sales, leasing, marketing, or customer service experience.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Able to effectively interact with groups and individuals, including university personnel.
- Organized, detail-oriented, patient, and able to work well under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with knowledge of Entrata preferred.
Working Conditions:
This role involves working in an office setting, which requires sufficient physical ability and mobility. Possible long hours and odd schedules may be required to fulfill job duties.
