Fortune 500 Retail Client | Long-Term Contract
Capstone IT is partnering with a Fortune 500 client to identify an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead two strategic retail technology initiatives focused on Rebate Management and Promotion Systems.
This is a highly visible role where you'll drive enterprise software delivery in an Agile environment, partnering with Scrum teams, business stakeholders, technical leadership, and third-party vendors to ensure successful project execution. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who excels at removing obstacles, aligning cross-functional teams, and delivering complex technology initiatives from planning through implementation.
What You'll Do
- Lead the successful delivery of two large-scale retail technology initiatives.
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, and milestones.
- Coordinate multiple Agile Scrum teams, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and technical leads.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between business and IT teams.
- Identify, track, and manage project dependencies, risks, issues, and decisions.
- Drive sprint and release planning activities while supporting Agile best practices.
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Manage third-party vendor engagements and project deliverables.
- Prepare and present project status updates for stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Proactively identify roadblocks and partner with teams to remove impediments.
- Balance Agile delivery with enterprise project governance and reporting requirements.
- Adapt project plans as business priorities evolve while maintaining delivery momentum.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of professional experience with 7 years serving as a Project Manager.
- Proven success leading complex software development projects within Agile environments.
- Strong experience working with:
- Scrum Teams

- Technical Leads
- Business Stakeholders
- Deep understanding of:
- Agile methodologies
- Scrum ceremonies
- Sprint Planning
- Backlog Management
- Release Planning
- Iterative software delivery
- Experience coordinating multiple Agile teams and managing cross-team dependencies.
- Strong background managing:

- Experience delivering projects across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
