SUMMARY
The Painter is responsible for preparing metal components and applying powder-coated finishes to medical-grade storage cabinets and related products. This role also inspects finished parts for quality, maintains equipment and work areas, and follows production and safety standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned:
- Prepares metal surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, masking, and inspecting parts in accordance with work instructions and specifications.
- Operates powder coating spray equipment and curing ovens to apply an even, durable finish while following production schedules and safety requirements.
- Inspects finished parts for proper coverage, color, thickness, adhesion, and defects; makes equipment adjustments and maintains a clean booth to meet quality standards.
- Actively participates in a continuous improvement process as well as work-cell cross training to ensure all team members are capable of performing assembly work across all work cell or assembly team areas.
