What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Development position at Capricor Inc?
Position : PD Associate I / II
A position is immediately available within our Process Development group for a PD Associate I / II to support in vitro drug potency studies and assist existing process development efforts.
The successful candidate under the direction of a supervisor is responsible for data collection, analysis, and other in vitro related tasks.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct literature reviews
- Collect and analyze data
- Maintain accurate records of data, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects, as necessary
- Summarize experiment and data
- Provide ready access to all experimental data for the team researcher and / or supervisor
- Request or acquire equipment or supplies necessary for the project
- Manage and respond to project related emails
- Prepare progress reports for the PI and PD, QC and manufacturing
- Prepare other articles, reports, and presentations
- Monitor the project reagents and materials
- Mammalian cell and tissue culture
- RNA / DNA isolation from cells or tissues
- Flow cytometry including analysis
- Perform PCR, qRT-PCR, or other basic molecular biology techniques
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in the biological sciences (or experience in biology research)
- Ability to work as part of a team and complete experiments, analyze data and provide results to end-users in a timely fashion is required
- 2 years of sterile tissue culture experience preferred
- Cell culture and molecular biology skills are required
- Experience with flow cytometry, functional assays, DNA, RNA and protein analysis is preferred
- Previous bioreactor experience is a plus
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
