Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
- Follow established recipes and menu specifications while incorporating creative variations when appropriate.
- Manage food production processes including dough preparation, topping assembly, baking, and finishing touches.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling standards to ensure a safe dining environment.
- Assist with meal preparation for catering events or large orders, demonstrating skills in grilling, braising, poaching, and other cooking techniques.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives for prep work and ovens for baking.
- Support the dietary department by preparing specialized menu items that meet dietary restrictions or preferences.
Requirements
- Prior experience in dietary or dietary aide roles is highly desirable.
- Proven culinary experience with skills in food preparation, food safety management, and high-volume production.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food sanitizing procedures.
- Strong knife skills and experience with meal preparation in a fast-paced restaurant or food industry setting.
- Familiarity with menu planning and food service operations within fine dining or catering environments.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices to ensure compliance at all times.
