What are the responsibilities and job description for the Orthodontic Assistant position at Capps & Woods Orthodontics?
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and compassionate orthodontic assistant to join our patient-centered private orthodontic practice. The ideal candidate will assist the orthodontist during procedures, provide excellent patient care, and help ensure a smooth and positive experience for our patients at every visit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for procedures and ensure their comfort
- Assist during exams and treatments, including bonding, banding, wire adjustments, and debonding.
- Take digital x-rays, impressions, photos and iTero scans
- Sterilize and organize equipment
- Educate patients
- Maintain accurate patient records using practice management software
Qualifications:
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification required
- Orthodontic assisting experience required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Professional, friendly, and team-oriented attitude
