Summary
Capodice, Efaw, Ocheltree & Elger are looking for a surgical assistant who can help assist in completing a wide range of oral and maxillofacial surgery. This job is four days a week and averages 32 hours/week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Interviews patients and accurately complete patient's treatment in electronic charting
- Takes x-rays
- Sets up surgery room and stocks rooms with supplies
- Surgical assistance to the doctor including but not limited to passing instruments and operating suction
- Calls in patients prescriptions to the pharmacy
- Make follow up appointments for patients
- perform patient education regarding procedures and post-operative care

Education and/or Experience
An ideal candidate would have previous dental assisting experience but willing to train on the job for the right person.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must lift and/or move 25 pounds or more.
Pay
Starting pay is $19.00/hour but will take in consideration applicable job experience when evaluating pay for a potential candidate.
