About The Role
Join a specialized team at Quad’s CR/T facility, where we manufacture the resins and inks that power our printing operations nationwide. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll play a key role in keeping our chemical processing equipment running safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on role in a dynamic industrial environment—not a traditional print shop.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain and repair equipment, including rotary vane pumps, pneumatic pumps, electric motors, belt drives, augers, gearboxes, and vacuum pumps.
- Install new machinery and support process upgrades.
- Develop and follow SOPs for proactive preventive maintenance.
- Use technical documentation to ensure proper tensions, speeds, tolerances, pressures, and flows.
- Support a safe work environment through lockout/tagout procedures and basic electrical safety.
- Associate’s degree in a related field or 5 years of mechanical experience.
- Experience rebuilding rotary vane pumps.
- Strong skills in pipe fitting, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and blueprint reading.
- Familiarity with metric measurements and mechanical tolerances.
- Basic understanding of electrical theory and safety protocols.
- Ability to work at heights and operate high-lift equipment.
- Must have or be willing to acquire basic hand tools.
- Physical ability to lift to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive hand/wrist movements.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Familiarity with ink or chemical processing equipment is a plus.
