SUMMARY: Directs and coordinates activities of the Injection Molding Department. 12 hour shift 7pm-7am, including rotating weekends. $27.00-$34.00/hr. plus $.50 shift differential per hour.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Maintains workflow by monitoring all aspect of the production process, follows up on process settings and ensures required materials are readily available to not disrupt production.
· Executes production schedule by assigning staff, establishing priorities, and monitoring progress throughout the production floor.
· Monitors real-time production data for any problem areas and follows up accordingly to resolve any issues. Complete product inspections every 2 hours.
· Maintains safe, clean and organized workplace by upholding cleanliness standards throughout the molding floor, including resin, colorant, production packaging supplies and equipment.
- Perform daily layered and mold change audits.
- Responsible for assisting with root cause analysis for customer complaints.
- Active participation in continuous process improvement projects.
- Supervise daily employee activity on the floor, address any employee concerns. Any concerns that cannot be resolved between the lead and employee to be escalated to the molding supervisor.
· Perform staff evaluations
· Help coordinate staff training.
· Run shift in accordance with supervisor’s direction.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSBIBILITIES: 5-10 year Leadership experience needed. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable law. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Fifth year-college or university program certificate; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Plastics experience preferred.
