Title: Certified Medical Coders - Inpatient - HYBRID
Location: Bronx, NY 10461
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days
Timing: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $38 - $40/hr on w2
NOTE: This role is remote now, with 1–2 weeks of onsite training at the start - The Hiring Manager is flexible.
Experience Requirements: Must have EPIC and 3M experience
CCS certification required.
Three years experience Knowledge of ICD10
Ideal candidate has both inpatient and outpatient coding experience.
Work Arrangement: Starts onsite for training, then transitions to remote work once duties are mastered.
Additional Notes: Seeking certified coders with strong In-patient coding background. Candidate should be able to work with minimal training.
Education: High School Diploma
Certification: AHIMA, RHIA or RHIT and/or CCP, CCS,
Duties:
Medical coding in an acute care setting; must possess proficient computer skills (e.g., MS Word, Excel, ICD 9 CM, CPT 4, Encoder); knowledge of coding guidelines, payor guidelines, federal billing guidelines; knowledge of anatomy, physiology & disease processes; ability to research coding related issues; competence in coder training; must have CCS and knowledgeable with 3M/HDS coding application. Inpatient and ED experience.
