Overview

Capitol Vent Cleaners is looking for a reliable, hardworking person to join our team as a Dryer Vent Cleaning Assistant / Laborer.

Pay: $25/hour — Cash Payment

Service Area: Maryland, Washington, DC & Northern Virginia

Schedule: Full-time or Part-time — schedule varies based on available jobs

Experience: No experience necessary — training provided

Age: Must be 18 or older

Schedule

This position has a flexible, job-dependent schedule. Work may be available for several consecutive days at a time. For example, some weeks may include Monday through Saturday, while others may only include Tuesday through Thursday.

Applicants should have flexibility, as the work schedule will depend on scheduled jobs.

Responsibilities

• Moving and carrying ladders, tools, and equipment
• Handling, rolling up, and organizing air hoses
• Assisting the lead technician during dryer vent cleaning jobs
• Helping set up and break down equipment
• Working outdoors at residential and commercial properties
• Following instructions from the lead technician and helping jobs run efficiently

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have reliable transportation to designated meeting locations
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Comfortable carrying and working around ladders
• Comfortable working outdoors
• Dependable and punctual
• Willing to learn and follow instructions
• Good work ethic and ability to work as part of a team

Meeting Locations & Transportation

There is not one permanent meeting location. The meeting location will vary depending on where the day’s jobs are located in Maryland, DC, or Virginia.

The lead technician will communicate the designated meeting location to the employee.

Once you meet the lead technician, you will typically ride with the technician between job sites, so you will not be responsible for driving yourself all over the DMV throughout the workday.
