Capitol Technology University is a career-focused university located in Laurel, Maryland, between Baltimore and Washington, D.C. It is a fully-accredited non-profit private university that was started in 1927 by a Navy veteran to teach students how to build radios. Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director of Student Recruitment, the Undergraduate Enrollment Advisor coordinates student enrollment efforts by recruiting and guiding prospective and incoming students through the application and admission process.

The UEA will represent the university at recruitment events such as high school visits, college fairs, and campus tours. The UEA will also be expected to actively recruit new students within assigned territories through email, phone, and personal outreach.

The UEA will be a highly motivated individual with strong organizational and interpersonal skills, who is passionate about growing enrollment and ensuring a smooth admissions pathway for prospective students.

This is a full-time exempt position on our beautiful 52-acre campus in Laurel, MD, on the Baltimore Washington parkway.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the recruitment of new student inquiries within assigned territories
• Communicate with prospective students through multiple communication channels including in person meetings, CRM, email, text messaging and phone conversations
• Establish and maintain strategic outreach activities and initiatives
• Assist with enrollment operations and special events
• Present information and represent Capitol Technology University at virtual, on-and-off campus events
• Effectively communicate and enthusiastically sell the value and story of the university and its programs to a diverse population of prospective students
• Maintain up to date knowledge on all programs and application processes
• Utilize CRM (Salesforce) to track communications, summarize meetings, plan and host events and send targeted email and text messages with inquiries, applicants and admitted students
• Review applications for acceptance into programs, develop admissions folders, ensure all acceptance requirements are met and included in files, and make scholarship recommendations
• Frequent evening and weekend work is expected during the fall and spring recruitment cycles (travel, night, and weekend work required)
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
• Must be able to travel within the designated area and attend in-person meetings.
• 3 years of related experience is preferred;
• Familiarity with CRM and SIS (Jenzabar and Salesforce is preferred);
• Familiarity with MS Office suite;
• Possess excellent interpersonal and business development skills;
• Must have valid driver’s license and a reliable fully insured vehicle capable of handling movements within assigned territory;
• Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Physical Demands

The candidate must be able to stand for up to 4 hours, and lift, pull, bend, grasp, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
