Assistant Director of Operations and Communications Full-time 12-month, Exempt Position Position Summary:The Assistant Director of Operations and Communications reports to the Director of Admissions Data & Operations. Assistant Director of Operations and Communications supports the Director of Admissions Data & Operations in admissions data management and enrollment marketing initiatives. This position blends operational expertise with campaign development, ensuring accurate data flow and effective communication with prospective students at every level of the enrollment funnel and all degree levels.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Execute data integration projects, including data mapping, cleansing, and verifying data transfers between systems using tools like Informatica ETL.In collaboration with the Director of Admissions Operations & Systems and leadership implement tailored copy for segmented audiences, ensuring messaging reflects the unique needs of each student population.Build, manage and report out on automated email campaigns in JRM that nurture prospects, applicants, and admits across doctoral, master’s, and undergraduate programs.Conduct pre-launch testing of new comflows, ensuring correct logic, routing, personalization fields, and timing.Identify and troubleshoot workflow, data accuracy, and campaign delivery issues in partnership with Admissions leadership.Coordinate communication needs for admissions events, application milestones, and program-specific updates.Run and provide standard and ad hoc reports to faculty, administrators, and other university stakeholders, supporting data-driven decision-making.Monitor data integrity within admissions systems, flagging inconsistencies, identifying duplicates and recommending process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Serve as a point of coordination with Marketing, IT, and academic programs for communication-related needs.Provide back up to the Director of Admissions Data & Operations.All other duties assigned by Director of Admissions Data & Operations.REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors degree or higher degree in a related field is required.Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.Experience in writing marketing copy preferred.Using data integration tools such as Informatica ETL or similar platforms preferredStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM platforms is preferred.Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThere are limited physical demands; however, this position requires sitting or standing occasionally for extended periods of time, and repetitive motions for tasks such as operating a computer mouse and keyboard, and hearing and speaking on the telephone.
