Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Print Production Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the entire printing process, from customer contact to preflight and file preparation, to final production, ensuring high-quality output across various print projects. Your expertise in graphic design, layout, color management, and machine operation will drive efficiency and excellence in our Digital Production Workflows.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with clients to address project inquiries, recommend print solutions, and deliver exceptional customer service throughout every stage of the project.
- Prepare digital files using graphic design software, preflight, and imposition tools to ensure accurate color reproduction and layout.
- Operate large-format printers, digital presses, folding machines, paper cutting machines, binding machines, and poster mounting equipment with precision.
- Adjust industrial equipment and machinery for optimal performance, including calibration of color management systems.
- Interpret production documents accurately to meet project specifications and deadlines.
- Perform quality control checks throughout the printing process to maintain high standards of output.
- Execute paper cutting, binding, and finishing tasks such as trimming and assembly to complete print jobs.
- Maintain detailed project records for billing purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in print production or manufacturing environments with a focus on digital printing.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment and ability to troubleshoot machine issues efficiently.
- Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and prepress software.
- Knowledge of color management principles and typography for layout design.
- Skilled in machine operation including cutting tools, binding machines, and digital presses.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality control standards.
