- Develops and administers curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.
- Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.
- Develops lesson plans and instructional materials for science, aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards, and translates lesson plans into learning experiences to develop pertinent sequential assignments, challenge students, and best utilize the available time for instruction.
- Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs; conducts individual and small group instruction as needed.
- Performs duties and tasks as assigned by the building principal or designee.
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

Qualifications Profile
- Certification Areas: Biology, 712 (030); Chemistry, 712 (031); Physics, 712 (032); Earth Science, 712 (033); General Science, 712 (034)
- Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.
- Bachelor's from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
- Master's Degree preferred.
