Position Overview
Capitol Medical Service, LLC is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to support an injury prevention program for industrial “occupational athletes” within an industrial utility environment. This role focuses on injury trend analysis, early intervention, and developing workgroup-specific training and conditioning programs to reduce musculoskeletal injuries and improve workforce performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze injury and workers’ compensation data to identify trends
- Develop and implement targeted injury prevention programs for specific workgroups
- Lead early intervention workshops and small group training sessions
- Provide on-site coaching and education on body mechanics and injury prevention
- Support return-to-work and work hardening initiatives
- Conduct functional capacity-style assessments and provide conditioning recommendations
- Collaborate with safety and occupational health teams to prioritize interventions
- Track engagement and deliver weekly and monthly reporting
Qualifications
- Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), BOC certified
- Texas licensure (or eligible)
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Experience with injury prevention, strength and conditioning, or program development
- Strong communication and public speaking skills
- Experience with data analysis or injury trend tracking preferred
