Warehouse Worker

Position Summary The primary function of the Warehouse Worker is to be responsible for areas of warehouse maintenance, shipping and receiving, product storage, and delivery setup. Duties & Responsibilities Maintain health and safety compliance in accordance with company policy Prepare orders by processing requests, pulling accurate materials, and placing them in the appropriate area for customer pickup or delivery Load and unload trucks as necessary Maintain inventory controls by minimizing material damage and ensuring order accuracy Organize the warehouse and manage bin locations Establish, maintain, and promote high standards of customer service Lift up to 50 pounds, walk or stand for most of the shift, and wear protective gear and steel-toed boots Ensure equipment is maintained to company operating standards Ability to operate a forklift Basic Qualifications High school diploma preferred One to three years of experience or more preferred Core Competencies Strive to do the right thing by displaying trust and integrity Embody servant leadership principles by putting the needs of others first and valuing diverse perspectives Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team, including leading, executing, and/or delegating as needed Establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization Champion an inclusive working environment and empower others to bring their full selves to the workplace Ability to self-manage, show initiative, be proactive, and drive results Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, with coworkers and customers Physical Requirements Ability to remain in a stationary position approximately 50% of the time Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Wear required protective gear and steel-toed boots Frequent movement throughout the warehouse Ability to operate warehouse machinery Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management Constantly working in a warehouse environment Required Cognitive Skills Ability to problem-solve and prioritize tasks Ability to manage stress based on task demands Ability to multitask Ability to receive information Ability to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and initiative Launch your career with a national building materials distributor and discover opportunities for growth and advancement.
