Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant at our Battle Creek, MI, clinic. The role involves providing direct patient care, performing assessments, developing treatment plans, and managing follow-up care for patients with infectious diseases. Duties include collaboration with physicians, managing acute and chronic infections, participating in patient education efforts, and maintaining accurate documentation for compliance and high standards of care. The role will include working in our outpatient clinic, as well as rounding at our affiliated healthcare partners for inpatient treatment as well.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in patient assessment, diagnosis, and care planning
- Experience in infection management and clinical patient education
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare teams
- Familiarity with maintaining accurate medical documentation; knowledge of EMR systems is a plus
- Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Michigan
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills suited for diverse patient populations
- Previous infectious disease or related specialty experience is highly desirable
- Current certifications such as ACLS or BLS are preferred
