Safety Manager

  • Oversee all company safety matters in air and on ground.
  • Maintain the safety program, reporting system, and investigate all incidents.
  • Manage the emergency readiness plan and aircraft emergency provisions.
  • Keep management updated on laws, regulations, standards, and IRPs.
  • Distribute safety publications and produce safety notifications and promotions.
  • Maintain safety manuals, forms, reports, and all safety documentation.
  • Assist managers with safety requirements, research, and program support.
  • Conduct safety audits and workplace inspections and submit required reports.
  • Track worker evaluations, inspections, and certifications for compliance.
  • Schedule workers for recertification before training expiration dates.
  • Ensure PPE and all safety equipment are stocked and maintained.
  • Review SOPs and recommend improvements to enhance safety.
  • Chair the Safety Committee and ensure regular meetings occur.
  • Represent the company with external safety organizations and agencies.
  • Represent the company during external safety audits and inspections.
  • Coordinate with the DOM on all flight safety requirements.
  • Verify maintenance facilities and equipment meet required standards.
  • Conduct site visits to review site and flight safety practices.
  • Assess customer-provided safety facilities for operational suitability.
