Position Overview:

The Vice President – Design and Delivery is a mid-senior level role responsible for helping clients design, launch, and implement grantmaking and subgrant programs for CFS clients. This is a remote position, reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, with regular in-person meetings with clients expected. This role serves as the primary project manager and client-facing lead for CFS’s design and delivery engagements. The Vice President will work closely with clients to understand their goals, develop practical program structures, guide implementation, and support execution.


The ideal candidate will have expertise in grant programs and processes, strategic planning, client relationship management, and/or state government, and are within a 125-mile radius of Baton Rouge, LA.

The Design and Delivery Team at Capitol Funding Solutions helps clients develop and implement effective grant programs. The team builds internal capacity and designs programs that are clear, practical, and aligned with policy goals. It supports clients in standing up new initiatives and refining existing portfolios with strategies, systems, and hands-on guidance that make competitive grantmaking work in practice.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Program Design and Delivery

  • Develop and manage program design strategies for public and private sector clients launching new grantmaking or subgrant initiatives.
  • Support the development of program guidelines, criteria, application materials, review processes, award structures, and operational timelines.
  • Assist clients to build programs that are transparent, efficient, compliant, accessible and aligned with intended organizational goals.
  • Coordinate with other internal CFS teams to provide holistic support for clients.


Client Relations and Support

  • Serve as the lead client contact for design and delivery engagements, ensuring responsive communication, strong relationship management, and clear coordination across all project phases.
  • Lead meetings, working sessions, and planning discussions with clients to keep projects moving and resolve operational or strategic issues.
  • Provide clients with practical recommendations and hands-on support throughout planning, launch, and implementation.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant management, program operations, subgrant administration, compliance, consulting, workforce development, or a related field.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of managing client relationships and delivering successful project outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Annual salary between $80,000 and $100,000 based on experience.
