About the Role

The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing daily production operations and ensuring efficient execution across multiple production lines. This role acts as a key liaison between production staff, maintenance, sanitation, and management, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety protocols are consistently met.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of approximately 12 employees across 3 production teams
• Learn and operate production machinery to support line efficiency and troubleshooting
• Create and manage labels and placards for items running on production lines
• Review and interpret production bills of materials (BOMs) to identify discrepancies in quantities or lot numbers
• Monitor and follow up on production reports, including output (pounds produced) and downtime tracking
• Report any production delays or operational issues to the Production Supervisor or Production Manager
• Coordinate with Sanitation and Maintenance teams to ensure timely changeovers between production runs
• Collect and track product samples during production runs
• Review batch records and QA inspection forms to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and production protocols
  
  

Qualifications

Candidate Requirements

• Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred)
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills in a production environment
• Ability to read and interpret production documentation such as BOMs and batch records
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts as needed
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Stand-up forklift certification
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
