Role
The Treasury Management Sales Officer (TMO) plays a pivotal role in driving strategic sales for our organization. Reporting to the Director of Treasury Sales, this role is responsible for business development, new and cross-sales of Treasury Management products and services, retention of clients and deposit growth. The TMO will make outbound sales calls both on their own and with other bank officers. While the position will provide high level customer support for our top Treasury Management customers, this position is largely focused on business development efforts within our respective markets and referrals to other lines of business. The work will include sales presentations, completion of contracts and paperwork, and customer service. This positions focus will be to drive fee income and deposits through the specific sales of our TM offerings.

Knowledge & Skills
Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
Skills
A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Strong knowledge of commercial banking and treasury management products, including NACHA Rules, ACH transactions and file processing. Proficiency in time management and capable of working independently. Strong organizational skills. Effective presentation, interpersonal, verbal and written communication and conflict resolution skills. Ability to identify key decision makers and overcome objections to move the sales process forward. The ability to motivate or influence others is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy, influence and trust.
Physical Requirements
Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management.
Regular in-office attendance required.

Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand computer basics. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with lines of business to maximize synergies in business performance, focusing on customer growth, retention and new sales to meet overall bank objectives.
- Drive business development efforts in collaboration with various stakeholders to achieve financial targets and enhance customer experience
- Work closely with Treasury Management Operations and Product teams to ensure effectiveness and alignment of product offerings with bank objectives.
- Champion the voice of the customer to deliver an optimal and differentiated experience across implementations, operations, and product functionality.
- Promote treasury services internally to enhance cross-organizational collaboration and drive quality referrals and new customer acquisitions.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Sales presentations including demonstrations and discussions of benefits, features and cost for various business accounts and treasury management services. Presentations also include Trust & Wealth Management, Commercial Loans, Capitol Agency Insurance, and RFP responses.
- Daily use of CRM, Smartsheet and other tracking related tools to provide transparency and up-to-date pipeline and sales information.
- Successful roll-out of new and/or enhanced products for treasury management line of business.
- Participate and execute project management tasks by partnering with internal operations teams and line of business colleagues.
- Actively engage in community networking to expand brand awareness and foster new relationships.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must comply with current applicable laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
Knowledge & Skills
- Minimum of five (5) years of financial services sales experience.
- Excellent customer service experience and skills.
- Experience managing large corporate relationships.
- Working knowledge of treasury management products and services.
