What You'll Do: Impact & Ownership
As a Mechanical Design Engineer II, you will be instrumental in both designing new, cutting-edge HVAC systems and strategically rehabilitating existing infrastructure. Your work will be the backbone of our projects.
Project Leadership: Lead the technical execution of complex HVAC engineering projects, ensuring designs are innovative, compliant, and cost-effective.
Advanced Analysis: Perform and validate advanced engineering calculations, including detailed heating/cooling load analysis, equipment sizing, and hydraulic and friction loss calculations.
Technical Authority: Develop specifications and enforce high-quality standards, methods, and procedures for design review and inspection across the team.
Problem Solver: Identify, troubleshoot, and implement efficient, novel solutions to complex, non-routine engineering challenges that impact project direction.
Mentorship & Guidance: Act as a direct mentor and technical resource for junior engineers, directing workflow, resolving technical roadblocks, and fostering their professional growth.
What We're Looking For: Expertise & Experience
Experience: 3 years of progressive experience in mechanical design engineering, specifically focused on HVAC systems.
Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in advanced engineering calculations (loads, sizing, hydraulics) and developing comprehensive system specifications.
Leadership Acumen: Proven ability to manage technical aspects of projects, work of others, and effectively resolve complex technical issues.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Licensure: Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is a plus.
