Capitol City Produce is looking for an Employee Engagement Specialist
to join our Human Resources team in Baton Rouge.
This role will focus on strengthening the employee experience across the organization through employee engagement, recognition, internal communications, onboarding, retention initiatives, company events, and workplace culture.
The Employee Engagement Specialist will work closely with employees, managers, and HR leadership to develop and support initiatives that improve morale, communication, connection, and retention.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Planning employee appreciation events, recognition programs, and engagement activities
- Supporting onboarding and conducting new-hire check-ins
- Assisting with stay interviews, pulse surveys, and employee feedback
- Creating newsletters, flyers, digital announcements, presentations, and engagement campaigns
- Supporting employee training and development initiatives
- Coordinating workshops, meetings, and company events
- Partnering with leaders to identify opportunities to improve the employee experience
- Tracking engagement participation, trends, and feedback
- Supporting internal and external employer branding efforts
What we're looking for:
Candidates should have 2–4 years of experience in employee engagement, HR, communications, event coordination, or a related field. A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
We're looking for someone who is creative, organized, relationship-focused, and comfortable working with employees at all levels of the organization.
Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, hospitality, or another operational environment is preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
