Capitol Aggregates is looking for a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Intern to join our Aggregates Division. In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced maintenance technicians and learn how to inspect, service, and repair heavy mobile equipment such as loaders, haul trucks, dozers, and excavators. This internship provides practical exposure to mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and industrial safety practices in a real-world aggregates plant environment.
What You’ll Do

Assist with routine servicing, inspections, and minor repairs of heavy equipment.

Support preventive maintenance activities such as oil changes, filter replacement, lubrication, and fluid checks.

Help troubleshoot basic equipment malfunctions and document findings.

Learn to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to support repair activities.

Assist with maintaining accurate maintenance logs and records.

Participate in daily safety meetings and follow all safety procedures.

Keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard-free.

Support tool and parts inventory organization.

Shadow senior mechanics to gain exposure to advanced repairs and precision maintenance.
