Capitaland Animal Hospital in the Capital District of New York is looking for a full-time Veterinary Assistant. A Veterinary Assistant aids the Licensed Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians in providing care to the pets we serve. They also have a role in ensuring that clients receive an exceptional experience while in our clinic. Job duties include patient restraint, client communication, record keeping, laboratory submissions, and ensuring our facility's cleanliness, safety, and security. Independent thinking, attention to detail, and a team attitude are essential.
Capitaland Animal Hospital is AAHA-certified, Cat-Friendly Certified, and follows Fear Free protocols. In addition to providing well-care, we offer medical and surgical services. We have a dental suite, dental and whole-body digital radiography, Lumify ultrasound, and therapeutic LASER. There is room for advancement for the right individual. Our schedule includes weekday and Saturday appointments. Schedules are rotating and aim to provide a positive work-life balance. Pay starts at $16/hour but increases with experience.
