The Inventory and Exchange Director’s key objective is to oversee all inventory liabilities and direct the Inventory, Exchange & Yield Teams in day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest and best use of all inventories available to maximize profitability to the organization.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversee both the Inventory and Exchange teams’ day-to-day operations to ensure consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of reporting, inventory allocation and utilization to maximize yield to company.
- Oversee and help manage all Club Inventory Liabilities, collaborating with Inventory Yield Manager and Inventory Analysts to ensure proper availability based on strategic objectives.
- Implement strategic and tactical initiatives to achieve budget and forecast targets across each department (Inventory, Exchange, etc.)
- Oversee and help manage all Exchange Liabilities, including but not limited to Bulk Bank deposits or Inventory Supply agreements with various Exchange entities, CIG & RCI Points Cedes, Space Bank deposits, Club Payback Liabilities, either directly or through proper training and oversight of Inventory or Exchange team members.
- Utilized established reports to monitor key inventory metrics which provide the basis for decision making on inventory allotments or utilization channels.
- Actively collaborate with Marketing team and Owner Services leadership to create and track campaigns or promotional offers to drive utilization in accordance with budget metrics.
- Analytics & Reporting Areas of Focus: Budgeting, forecasting, pick-up and pace, occupancy, efficiencies, inventory liabilities, etc.
- All other duties as requested or assigned
Job Requirements
Education, Essential Training / Certifications and Experience:
- 2 Years of Hospitality related Inventory Control and/or data analytics, hotel operations, revenue management, or related roles with exposure to business analytics.
- Timeshare or Hospitality Supervisory/Management experience is preferred but not required; i.e. Front Desk, Reservations, Club or Inventory Control areas
- High proficiency with MS Office applications including Excel and PowerBI
- Basic knowledge of SQL Server Management and SQL query building
- Strong analytical capabilities to review, understand, and formulate strategies based on available data
- Detail-oriented, hands-on approach to tasks
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects is required
- Ability to effectively manage and lead a team
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and drive to achieve goals
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work with a high level of professionalism
- Knowledge or familiarity with hotel processes, including Property Management Systems, and timeshare is a plus (but not required)
- Flexible schedule, ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays when needed
