Capital University seeks applicants for an Assistant Professor in systematic and Constructive Theology position to work in
the Columbus, OH area. The following is a description of the position duties:
Develops and teaches introductory and advanced graduate-level courses in Christian Theology; designs and implements
comprehensive curricula by incorporating a variety of theological perspectives and multi-religious frameworks to prepare
students for Christian ministry in global contexts; supervises student academic research, theses, and professional publications;
delivers instruction through multiple modalities, including in-person, remote, and hybrid environments; leads specialized
seminars in theological studies; manages administrative academic functions, including the coordination of examination
protocols, evaluations, and student registration processes; maintains a standard instructional load of at least 12 credit hours per
academic year, distributed across Fall, January terms, Spring, and summer terms; utilizes advanced scholarly knowledge to equip
students for Christian ministry across a range of denominational and cultural settings.
Wages offered: $60,010 per year
Minimum Educational Requirements: Doctorate in Theology
Experience: Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as a Dean of
Studies, Teaching Faculty, or Professor of Religions
Other Requirements: Two (2) years* of experience must have included all of the
following:
1. Teaching courses in religion and theology;
2. Leading seminars in theology; and
3. Supervising student research & publications.
*Years of experience are inclusive in the years of experience
required heretofore. Employer will accept any suitable
combination of education, training or experience.
