What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Manager position at Capital Trusses LLC?
The right candidate for us is someone who will run the extra mile and will not just limit to the job description. We are a truss manufacturer evolving to a building supplier and are already offering to our customers besides roof and floor trusses, lumber, concrete, shingles, windows and labor.
The ideal candidate must be a very committed person, willing to improve our internal functioning. You will be overseeing the shipping, production, quality control, inventory management, job site supervision and maintenance operations of the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality control, and safety.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of materials for production.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the plant.
- Ensure quotes are turning into orders
- Ensure and improve next to the sales team the incoming amount of jobs
- Train and develop plant staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Skills:
- Strong background in production management, with experience in a manufacturing/construction environment.
- Knowledge of quality control principles and practices.
- Ability to fabricate and assemble products according to specifications.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic repairs.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficient in process improvement techniques to optimize productivity and efficiency.
- English is a must
- Spanish is a strong plus but not a must
