Position Summary: Capital Orthopaedic Surgery Center is seeking a skilled and motivated Surgical Technologist to join our fast-paced orthopedic surgery center team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate about delivering exceptional patient care in a collaborative surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and instrumentation
- Assist surgeons during orthopedic procedures by anticipating surgical needs
- Ensure proper handling, sterilization, and organization of surgical instruments and supplies
- Perform efficient preoperative and postoperative room setup and turnover
- Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and accreditation standards
- Maintain a clean and organized operating room before, during, and after procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia staff, and other team members
- Assist with inventory management and supply restocking
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (preferred)
- Current Surgical Technologist certification preferred (CST)
- 2 years orthopedic surgery experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume surgical setting
- BLS certification required
